Ranking refund
If we miss the targets, you only pay for the work delivered
Our promise is about your money, not about Google. Here is exactly how it works.
What is the ranking refund?
The ranking refund is our promise about your money. No one can guarantee where Google places a website, so we do not promise a position. We promise that if we miss the targets we agreed with you, you only pay for the work we delivered.
How does it work?
- Agree the targets. After your audit, we list the local searches that matter to your business and the position we aim for on each, in writing, before you pay a retainer.
- Do the work. We build your pages, profile, listings and review system and report your rankings every month.
- Review at 6 months. We check the agreed searches together, using Google Search Console and a rank tracker on accounts you own.
- Settle fairly. If the targets were met, nothing changes. If they were not, you pay only for the audit, content and design delivered, and we refund the remaining fees.
What do I pay for either way?
You pay for the audit, the content and the design we deliver. Each item is priced in your agreement before you start, so you always know the amount. Everything else you paid in retainer fees is refundable if we miss the targets.
What counts as a ranking target?
A target is a named search, a place and a position, for example "AC repair near me" in the Google map pack for your service area. We measure Google map pack and regular search results. We also report your visibility in AI answers, but AI answers change too often to measure fairly, so they are not part of the refund.
What is not covered?
- Searches that are not in your written agreement.
- Problems caused by changes the client makes to the website or Business Profile without telling us.
- Delays when we do not receive the access, approvals or information we need.
- A Google penalty or Business Profile suspension caused by information that was not accurate.
- A closed business or a changed service area.
What does a refund look like in numbers?
This is a made-up example to show the arithmetic. It is not a real client result. Say the audit costs $1,000, the content and design delivered are worth $2,400, and the client paid $6,000 in total fees. If the agreed targets are missed, the client pays for the audit, content and design delivered, which is $3,400, and the remaining $2,600 is refunded. Your agreement lists each item and its price before you start.
Every figure in the example is illustrative. Your own agreement sets the real prices and the review date.
Why offer a refund on rankings?
We offer it because rankings can be measured and promises about Google cannot be kept. The refund shows how confident we are in the plan and gives you a clear way to judge us. It covers rankings only. We do not promise calls or jobs.
How do I claim a refund?
Tell us at the 6-month review. We compare the agreed searches using the accounts you own and, if the targets were missed, refund the remaining fees. Your agreement sets the exact payment date.
This page explains the policy. Your signed agreement has the final terms.
